About

a little bit about me

This is me.

Hello and welcome! My name is Christina Paluch and I am a crafter. A maker of things big and small.

My journey began in ceramics where I was shown a whole new world of art, a world where the art was something you could use. You could wear it with different kinds of textiles, build it with wood, or use molten glass and create new life from something. It was fascinating.

This was my calling. To create things for people that you could use every day. Items that held a different kind of value then something mass produced in a factory. Something that was a quiet comfort to people in the chaos that can be life.

I started my new journey into textiles with needle felting. Taking wool and melding it together with tiny pokes and prods here and there, until what was once a ball of wool turned into hearts. I wanted to make something people could hold and give them comfort if they were feeling stressed and needed a little help grounding themselves.

After needle felting I started to learn how to crochet. Being able to take a skein or a hank of yarn and have it turn into a hat or a stuffed animal is a magical journey.
